Argg, I have been shortchanged on DSL

I have lived a couple of blocks from the DSL equipment for years. I have had DSL for a little over a year and was stuck at 384Kbps for that time. I called today and asked about my plan and the 1.5 Mbps plan is the same price you just have to live close enough (I do).

New speed should take effect next week. At least I'll get a new modem out of hte deal.

Anyone need an old DSL modem? What do you do when you have 3 of them, use the extras as book ends?

Better Hold to your Old Modem.

I doubt that you will get anew one.

The upgarde is usually done in the Telco's DSLAM.

I'm paying the $12 for the new one since I got a new term I might as well get new cheap equipment.

The guy did give me the online price with a $3/month discount though.
