My 2011 mustang came with the 19" machined alloy wheels which are like a $1200 extra option. I didn't want them, I don't really like the look of them, but they came with the car I otherwise wanted. Now it's time for new tires and crap, 19" tires are like $300 more for a set of four compared to regular 18" tires. So, anyone out there with stock 18" wheels interested in trading? I'll do an even swap if your tires are in good condition

20" tires are suprisingly cheaper than 19". I got 4 20" Falkens shipped from discount tire direct for just under $600 a few weeks ago. So you need bigger wheels, no smaller.

Yeaps. I just got 19's for my G37. I bought the Hankook tires and am pretty happy with the purchase. Cost about 800 or so. They look good and are more quiet than the stock potenza tires the car comes with.

Heh, 17" michellin low profile tires for my tC are $180 a piece. Good thing I only change them every 7 years.

tell us you at least got brembos, if not FAIL

I wish I did, especially since the 19" wheels cost nearly as much. Unfortunately the car I wanted didn't have em, also the brembos come with summer tires so I'd have to get a whole different set for the winter. I didn't custom order this car, it was a last run 2011 that otherwise had all the options I wanted.

I wouldn't run tires that expensive on a tC. At least in 17" sizing you have a choice. One can get great tires for about $110 each without much effort.

18 and 19' inch tires are stupid $$, 20's are cheap!! so are 14-17" inchers. Just bought 4 new coopers for the wife's Hyundai (14") barely over 300$ for all 4 mounted/balanced lol

unfortunately for me my 19"s filled the wheel-well a little better than the oem 18"s and the 20"s I saw were heavy (my 19"s are about 20lbs.). I ended up getting separate winter tires and going all out on summer tread with Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Yeah, the 19" tires are a little more expensive, but you can get all season tires for about $200 a piece, which I don't think is too bad. I actually like the look of 19" wheels on the Mustang compared to the 18" wheels. How much were you expecting to pay for a set? And can you post a picture of your wheels?

I put the same tires on my wife's car. Wouldn't put any other tire on it now, unless there is something that surpasses the Pilot Super Sports' performance in the future.

I think it's due to the size not being as common as 18" or 20". Seems to be the case with certain sizes as well. But around $140 a piece for some 18" tires on mine isn't too bad. I had 19" wheels before and it's amazing how much better they look on my car with just that extra inch though.

I can buy a set of tires for $300 for my 15 or 16 inch wheels.

Really? Which ones? where?

Most half decent options for tires in 16 that I have found are at least $150 a tire. key words being "half decent". And I asked around about 15" too and they are about the same.
Im sure there are absolute shit tires avaiable for $80 somewhere.

Try dealing with 19" rims and offset tire sizes. I can't rotate my tires so my back wear out twice as fast as the front. On top of that, Michelin isn't making the a complete set of matching sizes for my car so I'm stuck with the older Pilots or going to a non-OEM size.

Not enough sidewall. I was going to go 18s at one point but decided to stick to 17s.

Someday I may have to go 18s on front for brakes and 17s or even 15s on rear for sidewall.

If you want to just straight up sell the wheels, let me know. I got the brembos, but I'm going to need a 2nd set of wheels and winter tires in Alaska. Depending on the width, I'd be interested. I'm looking for 9" fronts and 9.5 or 10" rears for the summer tires so I can transfer 255 width winters to my current rims.

If you have Brembo's, his wheels will not work with your car due to clearance issue for your brakes. You can try some RTR or GT500 SVT wheels.
