Argh, people are lazy asswipes

The parking in my apartment complex gets really packed after 6:30pm. For the past few weeks, two different cars have been parking in the handicap spot right up front, no handicap pass at all. One of the people left a note that said "can't find parking." Well yes, parking at the front of the complex IS hard to find at that time. But if you walk to back, there are like 20 open spaces at all times! I've had to park and walk from there plenty of times. These asswipes seem to think they are entitled (one drives a new Jag, the other some fancy expensive SUV). I've never seen the people themselves though, just the cars. Not even sure what unit they live in.

Well I complained to management, and they said they would talk to them. Of course, nothing was done. Apparently management is too busy counting their rent checks. Just tonight I go out to Target, come back and can't find a spot. So I parked at the far end of the complex and walked to my apartment. Sure enough, one of those nimrods was parked in the handicapped spot.

So, what should I do next? Leave a note telling them not to park there, or call the cops?

What makes this a big deal, in addition to it being wrong and illegal to park there, is my dad has a handicap pass because of his major back and joint problems. If he came over, where the hell would he park?

Fvck that, they have no right to park their and no right to any sympathy if their car gets ticketed or towed.

Leave a note pointing towards the other parking and write, "Park there or lose the car".

If they ignore it, call a tow truck at their expense. I hate asshats that park in handicapped spots just so they don't have to walk.

If you are not handicapped, then how does other people's parking in these spots concern you? Whether or not they park there affects you in no way, does it?

Printing a note that says, "There is plenty of parking at the back of the complex. Park here again, and you will be towed."

Back in college, I saw a person on a wheelchair have to go a block of his way to get up a ramp, while it was raining, because a car was illegally parked over a handicap sidewalk access ramp. Warnings had been given. I had no problem turning that person in. The car was towed.

Did you bother to read my post?

And even if my Dad didn't need it, THEY certainly don't. It's illegal to park there.

get annoying instead.

leave their wiperblades up, and flip them around so they can't just pop them back down. Put your trash on their hood, or put shaving cream at various spots. Pick a new place each time. Tape a flag with a handicap symbol to their antenna. Do this everytime you see a car parked there.

Do you hate everyone, or just people who can't walk?

I don't hate anyone.

It seemed like from some people's post that they would report people for illegally parking in handicapped spots because they were jealous of people cheating the system, not for legitimate concern for the handicapped. That seems petty.

I would be angry to see people park in these spaces illegally, too, but because they deprive handicapped spots to those in need. But I don't think its my place to intervene. I am not an advocate for any handicapped person. I would only be advocating my idea of morality without any personally practical justification.

But if you have handicapped family who need to park there, or are a handicapped driver who is being deprived a spot unfairly, I think you have a good justification for argument.

I did not get that impression from a single person. I think you need to watch Boondock Saints. The only thing worse than those people parking illegally are the people who are indifferent to it

Hide behind a bush with a tire iron and give them a reason to park there....

Or have them towed

1.Call the tow trucks NOW
2.Get digital camera and a lawn chair
3.Watch the fun unfold

Actually, that's a good idea. I think I'll start flipping the wiper blades up of everyone who parks in a handicapped spot without a permit

Here...request some free parking violation stickers and slap them on. Maybe they will take the hint.

Also does this complex have one of those "all illegally parked cars will be towed by **** at the owners expense" signs? If so call the tow company and tell them you are management and want the car towed.
