Are you going to admit the words I "copied and pasted" from the link I provided show how radiometric dating can be used to date things back 4.5 billion years. Carbon only works for a limited time so other radioactive elements with longer half-lives are used.

You're the one who's brought up hydrogen to people a half dozen times this thread so stop begging for it if you don't want to discuss it.

Gramps. That's a new one. Insults are the last resort of someone who has no arguement.

But you did get one thing right it's time for bed.

It's kind of funny to watch some guys wallow around.

:hmm:

Probably more like sad to see.

Then we're at an impasse. Back to the list.

Haven't you figured out no one gives a shit about your long running list yet.

It makes you sound more irrelevant every time you say it, the only reason I can see you've survived this long from the things you say is you're a plant one way or another.

That or someone likes seeing you get beat up.

Which also could be intentional. You've come off a basically being an utter joke so long it is hard to take anything you take seriously the way you flail about non stop.

I take it that you don't have the integrity to admit you screwed up what carbon dating can do. Noted. Not only are you incompetent but you're an incompetent liar.

Sure, I should've said radio dating instead of carbon specifically. Evidently this means a great deal in your mind, but regrettably it doesn't change the reality that you can't begin to grasp what competence in technical matters means.

In perspective, it makes perfect sense why Trump & co appeal to the lowest common denominator. They tell the dummies that even without any substance or expertise they're the righteous heros, that the intellectual elites are only jealous of their "common sense", or word memory as might be the case here.

Hate to be a stickler on this (no i don't, because this whole "List" thing has become a total joke itself)
However it is my understanding there is a protocol in place when discussing "The List™"
So you might need this:

It means you didn't know what you were talking about. I wouldn't have made a big deal about it if you weren't so condescending. If you're going to call people rubes and idiots and lowest common denominator then don't make idiotic mistakes like you did. Just a suggestion.

Actually you do. How else will you understand mutation rates? How will you understand phylogeny of the proteins contained in the cycle? How will you understand fitness advantages associated with ATP generation?

That's the problem with cherrypickers of science like yourself, you don't actually practice science. You like it when its convenient and fits your assumptions about the world, but when you presume something in science disagrees with your own assumptions, you reject it. That's not science, that's your dogma.

Actually he's not really cherrypicking or anything involving science. He just shitposts arbitrary lines from websites for dumbshits, then challenges people to prove him wrong, which is obviously impossible since he's an idiot who can't learn how anything works.

It's in effect just trolling, but not really because he's too dumb to figure out why people are annoyed with him.

You'd be late to the game, most people have thought of you that way at least a year now regarding you're "list".

I'm off to other things, Bucky is always a waste of time.

I do know that carbon dating isn't used for evolutionary time scales. You didn't. It wasn't a mistake it was you being a moron.

My arguments are not from creationist sites, dummy.

I imagine "don't know what you're talking about" is something you get a lot from other people, so in this moment of genius see fit to say it back in a "I'm not dumb, you're dumb" manner.

But you see, these lines aren't just arbitrary mouthing off like they do at the trailer park, like the women calling each other sluts when the matter doesn't involve sex.

"Don't know what you're talking about" is what is used to describe people who don't know how carbon/radio dating works, talking up carbon/radio dating. That's you, not me.

It's like the breed of people who find some grammar or such error, and get overcome with joy that they get to be right for once, because they legitimately believe it's some sort of role reversal in the conversation which makes them equals after all. Unfortunately that's not how the world of expertise works, and when experts see this sort of behavior it only further cement their position at the bottom of the pile.

You might think this sort of straight talk is mean and unfair, but far as I'm concerned the world is diminished because it's not given often enough to children before it's too late.

Evolution also works at <100k years, but explaining anything to you inevitably ends up returning nothing but shitposting (see above, or any thread involving you) just like conversations at the trailer park. Be aware that most folks here don't live in one for good reason.

Who cares? 100k is the limit. Accuracy is unverifiable at those ranges.

Platinum alpha decays and has a half life of 1000 trillion years. Does that mean the universe must be older than that? Your logic doesn't hold up.

Rubidium has a half life of 49,000,000,000 years so it can theoretically test ages much older than you believe the universe to be. According to your logic the earth is older than 4.5 billion years. Is it?

Lol what?

You might have something there if they had dated the earth at older than 4.5b years using those techniques.

Also how old do you think they dated the kangaroo rafts at?

I checked into it.

The whole fundamentalist-christian thing is a prank.

Man they sure have been pranking people for a while now....

Going to be so so funny when they reveal that they were just kidding...

so funny...

IMO it's a mistake to assume that every human can process longer compound statements (eg. if X and not Y then Z). If you look carefully at buckshot's comments, such logical leaps never really occur.

Thus, if you take what he says only as individual simple statement it starts making a sort of sense.

Here he's saying that 1. carbon decay at too many years is inaccurate, which is true enough.
2. Platinum alpha decays and has a half life of 1000 trillion years. True enough
3. Statement 2 doesn't mean universe is billions of years old, true enough on its own.
4. Rubidium has a half life of 49,000,000,000 years, true enough.
5. According to your logic the earth is older than 4.5 billion years. True enough.

Taken as a compounded argument or in any sort of context it makes no sense, but as simple assertions they are true enough, and that's why he righteously believes their veracity. My previous observation that to some people science is simply a collection of simple facts fits exactly this situation.

This appears a primary reason why buckshot has such a hard time with the simplest of "explanations", because they tend to include compound leaps spanning more than a sentence. And when pressed, he just posts one line for every line he's replying to, because that's the extent of his operating space without prolonged effort.

In retrospect as I write this, I kind of feel bad for excessively mocking someone who by all evidence is relatively handicapped.

The statements are rock solid taken as a whole. All the fluff you've said about them means nothing. Keep on making personal comments though, you're doing swell.

I'm not the one who idiotically used carbon dating and evolutionary time scales, you did that all on your own. Own your stupidity and learn from it. Instead you type a bunch of paragraphs making fun of me because you're an idiot.
