i also believe that there protests undermine every soldier who is fighting or whoever has fought. the last thing i would want to see is people protesting the war while im getting shot at.

Personally, I don't have enough information to form a rational opinion on whether or not we should declare war on Iraq. But, it is a moot point now, since we did declare war on Iraq, and therefor the only rational behavior is to support it 100% (IMHO anyway).

Yes sir, it is a terrible thing.
What I like is all these 18 to 24 year old right wing dittoheads that just talk and talk and talk. They should be rushing down to the nearby army office and joining up and run their mouth at the Iraqui's

Yeah...that's one of the reasons I like living in Berkeley...terrorists might come here to hang out but I doubt they'd ever do anything to our little city here just because of all the support we give themOriginally posted by: HappyNic
The City with the most public protesting might persuade terrorist to bomb some other pro-war city instead of theirs, if that's the case I want my city to have more protestes just in case.
I'm all for freedom of speach and the right to peacefully protest but these people laying in streets to block traffic are going to far. They can't keep their protest within the legal limits and they should be treated as the criminals they are. Also, rather than waste time arresting them I'd rather see a water cannon or rubber bullets used to clear them out. Well either that or let all the pissed off people sitting in bumper to bumper traffic do the job instead.Originally posted by: Sukhoi
WTF...do these protestors actually think they're going to get people to join their cause by pissing everyone off when they try to shut cities down?
What the? As a soldier, seeing protests make me happy because it reminds me that people are allowed to have opinions here in the US. Imagine an anti-Saddam protest in Iraq...how much fun would that be?Originally posted by: Ocuflox
yeah i have to agree with this thread- i go to a real liberal college and there all these wanna be hippies protesting the war. i feel like asking them what they would do instead of war - it seems like there position is to not do anything and be blind to genocide and chem/bio warfare. i also believe that there protests undermine every soldier who is fighting or whoever has fought. the last thing i would want to see is people protesting the war while im getting shot at.

How do you really feel?Originally posted by: Ornery
We already covered this ad nauseam in this 450 post topic. Unfortunately, some of you dimwits couldn't be bothered to read it, or even the initial post in this topic!
It ain't about the freedom to protest. It's about closing down business and traffic, and generally being a GD criminal. Serves 'em right if the cops throw their sorry asses in jail for a few days while they spend valuable time processing these fvcktards. As if they don't have enough other sh|t to worry about!:disgust:
