Arrow/Flash Super Thread!

Interesting set of episodes.

Now way the season ends without the everyone against Wells/RFlash event happens. Though if they decide to also resolve it this year, wonder what direction they will put the show into after that.

As far as arrow, I wouldhave sworn diggle would be the first permanent guy to go, with atom as the first recurring to get ditched. But even though the arrow "death" eleviates the police issue, sister taking a blade through the gut looks to make things interesting on the will he or won't he because head of the league drama.

I think that Arrow is gonna agree to be the next Ra's cause they're gonna offer him the Lazerus to save Thea.

Both diggle and atom were talked about as show spinoffs, not sure how far either idea has progressed but the diggle plan may have less utility as they keep killing of the argus squad members.

I didn't really care for The Flash episode from this week. Honestly, it just seemed like a poorly written episode full of CW garbage. The big tease for this episode was Ray Palmer showing up, but his role was pretty much negligible. Yes, he played a part in foiling the baddie, but he still wasn't integral.

Now, I could have put up with that if the rest of the episode was good, but it wasn't. The biggest problem -- as I mentioned earlier -- is that this episode was full of the typical CW relationship drama bullshit. Yes, I'm talking about Iris and Eddie and

. I sat there the whole time saying, "Who the fuck acts this way!? ...and why the hell is he just putting up with her shitty, self-entitled attitude?" I was watching SourceFed's comic show... show, and the one host made a good remark, "All he had to was say, 'This isn't my secret to tell', and that's it." It's a terribly contrived situation to push unnecessary, over-the-top drama. To be clear, drama does exist in comic books, but in my experience, it usually isn't done in such a poor manner. For example, as much as I disliked the ending of Marvel's Civil War, the series (and its related issues in the normal publications) had some good drama -- and some of it was relationship drama.

As for Arrow, I'm still on the Suicide Squad episode. I just haven't had any desire to watch it as the whole season has been rather bad.

good flash episode. liked the baddie, his forgetting how to become himself in the end was fairly creepy looking.

and then they found the lair, should make next episode rather interesting.

I thought that it was a lot better than last week's episode. Although, it was a little odd to use The Flash to tie up the issues between Laurel and her dad.

Wells totally outplayed them! D: What I thought was great about the episode is that it showed how they can do relationship drama in a way that isn't groan-inducing.

The best part is... if I remember correctly, the next episode is going to feature...

Just saw that the Flash had higher ratings this week than Marvels SHIELD.

The Flash is finding its groove. What I like about it is that even the baddie of the week episodes are watchable and the larger, season long arc isn't needed every episode. That said the season long Reverse Flash arc just keeps getting better!

I really hope they find a way to restore original Well's with memories intact. I really like his character and would hate to see it go after this arc.

We saw him having issues with running at times not to mention the giant light streak he leaves behind.

Thats kinda inconsistent as that was a major plot point, but it seems he's been using his speed in one form or another in every other episode. I think as Barry learns more there is more speed force to go around.

But about the speed trail...that seems inconsistent too! Sometimes it seems like people see it, other times they dont. Flash broke people out of prison and jail, and no one knew he did it. And lots of times he just runs up to a place in his street clothes. You would think someone would see the trail leading to Barry and go WTF!

I think the issue is that we're not sure what "rules" the show follows at this point. In Flashpoint, Flash cannot travel through time if another speedster is there as they share the Speed Force. However, if the Reverse Flash is also using the Speed Force, that isn't the case since Barry went back in time. However, Gideon did mention tachyons, which have been used in various other science-fiction stories as a time travel mechanism. The Wikipedia article for tachyons even lists them under the fiction section:

In The Flash (2014 TV Series), tachyons play a significant role. Eobard Thawne uses a stolen tachyon prototype to temporarily restore his super-speed.

Using tachyons as a method of adjusting time would suggest that he's actually Hunter Zolomon, but he also very much resembles Professor Zoom -- especially since they share the same name.

He was emaciated or what ever you want to call it when he got the life sucked out of him by Thawne. It's possible you could use the device and reverse the process. Just re-hydrate him

Flash last night was cool. Should have had more time devoted to the team up though. It still shows that Arrow is better than Flash even as a human.

Season finale of Arrow is tonight with Flash going to save them.

Seems even though its for a fairly insignificant amount of onscreen time, team up ratings good enough that they are continuing it next year.

Will be interested to see how they end flash with all the former baddies back in the wild and flash 2 locked up.

Really interested to see what they plan on doing for Arrow next season. Does this mean he moves to a new local or does something pull him back? As the same char or does he try a new identity?
