The first time you run the program, it will prompt you with a series of options about registration. Make sure you select 'Obtain a FREE full version key', press OK and follow the prompts. A web browser window will appear. Enter your email address and press Send. Click the link in the email that arrives and fill in your details on the web page. Once that's done, Ashampoo will send another email with your product key. Check your email for the product key and enter this into the program when prompted.

SPAM sucks, thus the service below rocks. It let's you easily create disposable, disintegrating E-mail addresses on the fly. I've used it hundreds and hundreds of times for signing up where they require an e-mail and you just know they are going to SPAM your a** off or sell your address.

Another trick I love to use when the E-mail is required to complete a form but is not required to get whatever I am after is to put in an e-mail address of: sales@ then whatever the websites name is. That way they most likely will receive their own SPAM. What I find hilarious and many others must do that also since a lot of forms now check and won't you fill out an address of the company.

Another good address to use is "make up an address" @irs.gov

You'll probably never select a real address, but its fun none the less.

Great program, made the switch from Nero and haven't looked back.
FYI this offer is for the previous version. It is currently at version 6.30.
However, if you can use this version to upgrade, it will save you $10 off the $30 price.

Great program, but to the best of my knowledge does not include a "Copy Disc" function?

Ok..how do I get it to burn movie's onto dvd's? All it seems to want to do is burn data dvd's...

2007? There is no such version. This appears to be version 5, which is older. 6.30 is the most current.

With that said, I use version 6 and I like it much better than Nero. Does everything I need it to do without all the bloat.

I have CloneCD and Alcohol 120% for disc copy/backup.

I found that ImgBurn allows long file names that Nero truncates.
WinISO also truncates filenames badly and changes file extensions on long filenames.

ImgBurn is great at what it does and free.

It's actually version 6.20, but you can't update it to 6.30.

Good to know. The version 5 that is pictured is misleading then.
Are you sure you can't update? Couldn't you just download 6.30 and use the same key?

Well Parato now you sold me. I have had nero lop off filenames particularly the extension on mp3s. If you don't notice it before you burn they are then unplayable. That is a good reason. Thanks

During install it also gives you the option to Upgrade to the full version for only $9.99. That's pretty hot considering it goes for $29.99! I jumped on it.
