I personally find this video to be a more humorous reflection on her ignorant upbringing and immodest (and incorrect) view of herself as a "polite and nice American" rather than an insult (I'm Asian). However, her freedom of speech as provided by the first amendment does NOT extend to racist comments so long as she is on UCLA premises and is enrolled at UCLA. She has violated the UCLA code of conduct and I fully expect her to be punished accordingly.

Personally, I don't think she should be expelled for what is at the very least a major lapse in judgment. Who can say they haven't done something idiotic while stressed, and as a college student at UCD (turned down UCLA because I don't like SoCal much, and Cal because I don't like the Asians there. Wonderfully ironic isn't it?), I don't want to see her future ruined any more than it already is due to one mistake. Ergo, I'd like to see her put on some kind of probation or required to take some kind of cultural studies course at the very least.

As an alum I'll tell you there are fvcking smart kids here. The premed, pre-biz (Haasholes), engineering kids.... holy crap. There are some serious smartasses here. I know I'm freaking smart myself but these kids run circles around me.

Then there are absolute idiots too. I lived with people who were on academic probation my first year. That was sad. First semester one roommate never went to class and played games 24/7. The next semester they partied too much and the other roommate went on AP. Hell that entire dorm building was filled with idiots. I never knew that such people were accepted. It's the whole diversity crap.

Top 10% in some high schools means top 10% of crowd like the Berkeley Engineering crowd. Top 10% in Oakland High means... something totally different.

So yeah, there's smart kids everywhere. From my experiences at UCLA and Berkeley, I'd say there are more nerds out at Berkeley and the cutthroatness is a bit more severe, but both schools have enough dumb people too.

I can tell you from experience that many of the Haas kids are completely brainless. Reading some of their emails, the simple shit they just refuse ti figure out on their own...oh man.

also...pre-med. gah, It's such a joke of a major. The smart ones are actually double majoring in things like BioChem and MoBio--something that actually matters in medicine. Pre-Med is just another "I'm confused so I'll just take this general studies major that sounds smart" major.

edit: From working at the library, I have experienced every type of rude out there. I never once wanted to make a video and post it online though. Bitch needs to get over herself and realize that the world ain't perfect unless you're missing half your brain. Then the rest of the world needs to lay off some blonde bimbo for posting a moderately offensive video. Hell I've experienced worse shit going through grade school. You either accept that there are always idiots out there or you occasionally get into a few fights... Not really worth the bruises or hypertension the way I see it.
