I'll answer the questions I feel like answering.

How do you know that Christ was divine?

If Jesus died for our sins shouldnt we just live it up and not worry about sinning? I mean talk about the ultimate sacrafice and then people "try" not to do what you sacraficed yourself for. What a slap in the face.

That's one of the things that always bothered me about religious folk. There's no qualms with obviously breaking "the rules" about being a person that "walks with Christ" (i.e. is pious). I'm fairly certain there are verses about "walking with Christ" (hence why I used that terminology) that state you are supposed to "be like him." But ultimately, the verse John 3:16 says, "... for whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." That's the only stipulation given.

Frankly, I just live my life and try to be a good person. I mess up... I'm human, damn it, but I try. I certainly don't need religion to back me up in my endeavors.

How do you be a good person? What are your morals based on?
If you grew up in a cannibal tribe, killing and eating people would not count against you being a "good person". Why would stealing or killing make you a bad person?

When Christians preach and say things like "you're going to hell unless you believe in Jesus," do they honestly believe they are performing a public service? To non-religious people it seems pushy and mean, but I get the impression that Christians think they're being super kind by saying those sorts of things.

Also, what if I just can't accept that Jesus was anything more than a mortal man? I can say the words "I believe in Jesus and I wish to be saved" or whatever, but I would never be able to actually believe them because Christianity doesn't make sense to me and I am incapable of believing in it in its current form.
