Hello, I'm building a mid range pc (600dlls) and this is the best i can do so far

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Skaidancer/saved/2IG0

Im new with all this PC build thing and the most important thing i want to know is what would my best choice for a Video card between Geforce 650 ti boost and a radeon 7970 ghz edition (also considering geforce 670 gtx and 760 gtx with more budget but dont know if worth it).

I also want to know any opinions about if im doing something wrong, any troubles i can have in the future with this build, improvements on the components ( that doesnt get out of a 600 - 700 budget) and any recomendations you want to give me (but remember im new with all this so dont get too rough xd).

I think that what you've picked out is quite reasonable. I think I'd pick a different case though, Apex is pretty crap. You have a few bucks to play with, I'd go for the Corsair 200R. I'd also grab the 7870 Myst, which is really closer to a 7950 and comes out $10 cheaper AR.

You need to budget in an SSD as well.

Why? many builds i've seen doesnt come with SSD so i didnnt thought it was necesary
?

7870 is much better than 650 ti.
I did know 7870 was better the thing is that i went to read some reviews in newegg of owners of the 7870 ghz edition (saphire) and a few being having troubles with the video card, and the 650 ti boost owners doesnt present as much complains (except in game performance)with the video card.

Here are some reviews that I used to compare

EVGA geforce gtx 650 ti boost http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Saphire Radeon 7870 ghz edition http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Well i forgot to change the case but i was considering a NZXT 210 or an NZXT Apollo and why go with the multicolor 7970 myst instead of the saphire 7870 ghz edition?

The HD 7870 MYST (aka HD 7870 XT) uses a cut-down version of the Tahiti GPU, so it's basically a 7950 with 2 GB of VRAM. It's kind of like a HD 7930 or a HD 7890.

The 7870 MYST is a good bit faster than a 7870 GHz Edition. It also overclocks well (core clock not memory clock, since the VRAM is already clocked to the clouds). The only big issue is its crappy cooling, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem unless you're planning to do a hefty OC. You'll have to increase the fan speed a good bit if you are, and that'll make the card start screaming out mating calls to attract other HD 7870 XTs.
It isn't a pretty sound.. ;_;

BTW: A SSD is a horrible idea for such a small budget. You'd be cutting a lot of performance if you take $80+ from your budget to buy one.

Why a 270x? It's essentially a HD 7870 with a different name and a slightly higher clock. It doesn't even have 2 games bundled. I know that the TF IV cooling is good and all, but at 40 dollars more and with no games included, it just doesn't justify getting it over the 7870 MYST. The deal you found on the i5 and B81 mobo is amazing though.

BTW: OP, do you need Windows? :I

Edit: I found a goodie! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148655

I'd just deal with the Apex case..they're not that bad.IF you get one with 120mm fan holes. They actually look pretty sharp.
A case is just a box that holds all the goodies.
I actually just use a box..case is empty on the floor.

Well i havent consider the r9 270 but there's only one way i change the 7870 myst and is to find a videocard with lower heat rates so if the r9 270 comes with that i may consider it since i live in a very hot city ad even with AC my house can get a little bit hot so the less hot my videocard can get the better.

Well im considering windows 7 but thanks xd

There's a difference between an R9 270 and an R9 270X. The 270 is basically a 7850. It's not out yet, but be mindful if any suspiciously cheap cards come up in the future.

The R9 270X is a smaller GPU than the Tahiti LE in the 7870 Myst, so it will absolutely run cooler. There are also a wider variety of coolers available, whereas the Tahiti LE is pretty much only available from one vendor. All that being said, the card won't make a racket until you load it up, at which point you're probably gaming anyway. An R9 270X is also not silent under load.

Mainly picked the 270x due to msi's awesome cooler and the fact that at stock, it is faster than 7870 (the op said he doesn't oc)

An SSD is also the single biggest upgrade you can possibly put in your system for basically every single application you might ever want to run. If you can't afford at least a 120gb SSD in your build, don't bother. Keep saving. It's THAT important.
