Hi, I'm looking for a roomy case which will be on the cooler side (i.e. low temps). i'm not worried about the noise. I've read the review for the x-navigator. Just want some opionions from people who might have used it or know about experiences with the case.

Also are there any other good cases which have a fair amount of room and have low temps. please let me know, thanks.

I am interested in learning more about this case too. I read a few reviews on the sales page of newegg which were all positive (no big suprise) and seemed to indicate that the variable control speed fan allowed you to keep it quiet when you weren't playing games. I like the look but I'm not crazy about the huge 'turn signal' type lights - I'm afraid they'd blind/distract me when playing/working.

If anyone has this case I'd like to hear an objective user review.

Wow - I guess this must be the most exclusive case ever. Apparently nobody has one. I dunno if that makes me want one more or less.

I don't know if I'd consider it exclusive because that implies that many people want it and few have it. I read the review and frankly it doesn't look like anything special. It's just a modded cheiftec/antec aluminum case that you could buy and make yourself for less. It runs for ~160 apparently and for that ammount you could put a good chunk down on a better case or save your money get a standard aluminum full tower and spend the difference on better parts. That is my opinion, it's not a bad looking case though, I'll give you that.

I've read that it is kind of fragile, the big front panel cracks and chips if you aren't careful.

For not that much over the mentioned $160 you can get a Lian-Li case that's not even close to fragile. The V1000 and V1100 are both EXCELLENT cases and more deserving of your hard earned (or begged for) money...

Aspire is one step up from a generic...

For most of us a case is somthign you tend to hold onto awhile, I would advise investing in somthign a bit better.

Sound advice...

I used a generic case on the very first system I built. Under 2 years later, I had to replace the case since it was causing all sorts of problems with the computer. Went to a new case and the issues went into the ether...

While you can get decent generic cases, or lucky getting one, I wouldn't count on it. Most of the serious computer makers I associate with use known quality parts, from the mobo all the way down to the floppy. To them, and myself, the money you save initially is rapidly offset by hassles (or potenial hassles) that crop up later. Far better off making less on a system build and using quality parts than the alternative.

I've got one waiting on my new SLI build. It's pretty solid and the 500W power supply that comes with it is pretty sharp looking.

I have it, and replaced my Aspire X-Superalien before. These are very well made cases with decent (not perfect psu), and completely aluminum. For the size they are pretty light. The x-navigator keeps my system 5c cooler and is quiter than the alien I had, which had 1 more fan.

Hmmm, I'm having a hard time deciding between this case and the Lian-Li PC-61 for $50 + $89 for the Antec True480. Can anyone help me with this, or suggest a better good looking case maybe. Which PSU is better, the one that comes with the Apsire case or the Antec PSU and by how much?

I have never had any problems with either of the aspire 500x psu that are in this case and the rails are rock solid. That said, most will say that the antec is better, which it should be, as the aspire only runs $55 without the case.
