Nvidia and ATI display drivers have a long history of not playing well together . Download a program called DriverCleaner. Then remove the ATI drivers via the add/remove programs in windows control panel. Reboot into safe mode, and run DriverCleaner and pick ATI video drivers to remove the leftover bits. Turn off the system and install the Nvidia card. Reboot and install the latest Nvidia drivers and see if that doent cure the problem.
Should've mentioned that too, I always use DriverCleaner, so ATI driver remnants weren't present (I hope). Anyways the 9600GT works with 174.74 drivers in my main rig (Asus P5B-E mobo), so at least I know the card isn't defective. I'll try putting it back in the AsRock board later and trying out different beta drivers. If that doesn't work, I guess the Xpertvision brand just doesn't play nice with the 4Core mobos.
