I recently bought this asrock 775dual-vsta mb and I have some problems setting it up.
I use twinmos pc3200 ddr memory (2x1gb).
Prosessor is E6400.
Currently I am running like this:
CpuZ shows memory clock to 133, it should be 200. Where to change this?
I have changed memory type to ddr400 from bios, but no help.
I tried to disable compability mode, but got bsod.
If some one can give some basic settings for bios, so I can get this running right,
Sorry this noobish post, but I havent upgraded computer for a long time.

Thanks

CPU-Z doesn't tell the correct memory frequency with this motherboard but the timings and command rate will display correctly.

I use HWiNFO32 to confirm my actual memory speed. There are lots of other programs that correctly report the memory frequency.

For example, CPU-Z says my RAM is running at 533MHz and HWiNFO32 says 200 which equates to 400MHz. Use another program besides CPU-Z.

I just compared, they are showing same!
I noticed that using compability mode decreases memory speed... but if I disable that, my comp is unstable..
If I change memory type to ddr333, it works fine.... any other ideas?

Well, CPU-Z doesn't work right with my ASRock775dualvsta and it's a known issue with this mobo. Check the large ASRock-775dual thread... I didn't make this up.

I've had no issues with DDR or DDR2 in either enabled or disabled settings. There are minor speed differences but nothing worth writing home about. Memory benchmarks seem to show differences but actual game benchmarks show next to nothing.

So I guess you need to enable the memory flexibility setting and have a stable computer. Memory speed is worthless without stability.

When I am speaking compability mode, I mean flexibility.....
Enabling this will decrease my mem speed to half of fsb, no mather what i do..
I hate this ASSrock mb...

What do you think about this memory: OCZ PC2-6400 Platinum Rev.2 XTC Edition 2GB Kit (CL4) ?
I know that my asrock only supports 667mhz, but it cant hurt if i use 800mhz memory.. or ??

That memory should work unless it needs a freaky high level of voltage. I'm using PC2-6400 with one of these boards.

Make sure you manually set your memory timings, for ddr 400 should be 3-3-3-8 2T or 3-4-4-8 2T. 2T is the key with this mobo

Now is noobish question, what does those 3-3-3-8 stand for? Do you read that like
1 numer is tCAS, 2.tRCD , 3.tRP 4.tRAS??

My twinmos is CL2,5? Is it more stable to use 3?

My memory is also rated CL2.5 but I have to use 3 to be stable on this board. Put it at 3-3-3-8 or whatever and THEN try flexibility disabled.

Lets try this way, what ddr2 6400 memory runs with 2,0volts?
Is there any volt mod to increase memory voltage on asrocks mb?
