Okay, how the hack do I get this thing to install Windows on my Raptor? It kept telling me that it can't find a hard disk even though it shows up in the bios page. I don't see any driver that I need to install (with the F6 key). Is it hiding somewhere on the CD? Help! Thank.
System:
ASRock 775i65G
Conroe 6400
150GB Raptor
eVGA 6800GT
NEC 3550
Fortron 550W
Okay, I'm at my witend. This is the third day now, hope someone can help. The motherboard recognizes the drive in the bios, but Windows install stopped and said it can't find hard disk. I know the drive works since I tried it on Albatron KX18DS Pro, Windows was succesfully installed with that combo. This motherboard doesn't support RAID so I know I don't need a driver.
Okay, here's the update, see if you can help me here. I put in my 80 GB Hitachi SATA drive. The motherboard sees it, I was able to install Windows on it, and runs fine. When I hooked up the Raptor to the other SATA channel, Windows won't see it, even though it's formatted (using another comp-and I verify its function).
Next, I replaced the Hitachi with the Raptor, on the same channel...nope, Windows install said "can't find hard disk", grrrr.
Here's the interesting part. When both of them are hooked up, the boot up choice only showed the Raptor, but then install will only go to the Hitachi, no choice on the Raptor!! Sheesh.
Sorry that it's so long, but I am so fed up right now.
