ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 BIOS options

The original poster is in contact with ASRock, who questioned whether an upcoming BIOS release should contain additional Vcore and VDIMM voltage adjustments.
I urge everyone interested in this board to respond.
In addition I also contacted ASRock directly and requested that these features be included in the next BIOS release.

You are aware that BIOS updates can't make features like those appear out of thin air? Voltage tweaking requires special hardware circuitry - and what's not there in hardware can't be made appear in software.

true peter but if the functionality is already there but just isn't enabled through the bios it is a possibility that they could turn it on.

I am well aware of that fact, but the thread starter inferred that ASRock was considering it, which would mean that the "Hardware" is there, but requires a more elaborate BIOS coding.

Just ordered this board but haven't set it up.

My understanding is that you don't need to tweak voltages too much with this board to get good overclocking results anyway.

The VCore voltage could be made more controllable in a BIOS option clearly since the max setting automatically adjusts down when it detects a lower voltage chip like a Venice or San Diego.

VDimm voltage could be made directly adjustable with indicated voltages rather than relative voltages.

These changes would not require new hardware.

I as well will request this of ASrock, I saw this and posted it in the original thread. I was thinking we could all do a forum wide email to ASrock but individual ones might be just as effective.

PS: OP, change the thread title so it will show this. THe thread name really doesn't do what you're trying to say justice.
