Asrock B350 Gaming motherboard

I recently purchased the Asrock B350 Gaming K4 motherboard. Placed the CPU and verified that all connecting hardware does work with another configuration I had previously. However, the PC kept resetting after a minute. I reseated the CPU as this was the only other option I think would be an issue besides the motherboard.

double check all your power supply connections , the 4/8 pin for the CPU and any for your GPU. Ram installed, properly seated in the proper slots ... reset them any way ...

Try to remove everything and put it back together.
By the way. did you had the same CPU etc as before?

Also could be the PSU giving up...

I've tested the PSU with another setup that works fine. I took everything apart and put it back together again. It powers on and shuts off within 30 seconds. It begins a cycle of constantly rebooting.

Assemble it outside the case with minimal parts , it might be a short to the case. Mounting screws or the port shield on the back is a somewhat common problem with those symptoms. The other thing is incompatible or bad ram / timing settings causing the reboots.

Could be the ram, most of the times reboots are cause by RAM issues or PSU.

Well I purchased another motherboard to rule out the RAM. The RAM works with an 1151 setup, but nothing happens with the AM4 setup. The MSI board had EZ debug LEDs on the board. When I boot the PC, the CPU and RAM light came one. I removed the CPU and only the CPU light came on as expected. I removed the RAM and both lights came on again.

Patriot PV416G266C5K RAM. Two different motherboards. All other components work with an 1151 configuration. RAM is compatible for both Asrock and MSI.
