I can't get mine working properly either, had to switch back to XP. I won't be buying anything from ASRock again.

This board work with Vista. Mine did well. What drivers do you need? apart from the LAN, everything worked well, eve the RAID drivers from the ULI driver pack. LAN drivers were found somewhere, but I don't remember where. Since Vista is not out yet for customers, then you should expect to do a little more work than with XP to get the drivers needed.

AFAIK, the Dual-VSTA board is SATA 1 only.
They both have the same SATA capability; two integrated SATA/150 ports with one additional SATA II/3Gb port via JMicron JMB360.
The Dual-VSTA is a completely different motherboard.
You mean, completely different as in being identical other than the audio (AC97 v. UAA)?

I'm running Vista on my 939Dual-SATA2 with no problems; I didn't even have to install any drivers - Windows automatically installed drivers for the LAN controller and the storage controllers (even the SATA II one). What specific problems are you running into?

This might help to get everyone on the same page:
1: What version of Vista is everyone here using?
2: What drivers is everyone here using?
3: What bugs/driver problems/errors is everyone here having? (if any)

For me:
1: RC2
2: Downloaded drivers, all supposed to work with vista. (some were beta drivers)
3: Biggest problem for me was the lan drivers, could only get a connection after putting computer to sleep. Had many smaller errors/bugs and a few crashes. After a few weeks of trying to fix it I switched back to XP.

Cool n Quiet does NOT work...

This is almost a dealbreaker for me, as I cant afford to have my overclocked A643200+ running at 50c all the time...Im having to manually adjust my mult. using SysTool... boo!

Will AMD have a Cool n Quiet driver for Vista?

There was some CPU Throttling options in Power Options of earlier Vista builds...but its gone! Why?

Other than that, Vista installed fine on my 939DualSATA2, better than RC2; didnt need a single driver.

However, does this board not fully support Vista's new Sleep feature? When I go into standby mode the fans are all still running (and the video card fan goes nuts because its not being controlled by the drivers while in standby)...
its supposed to power everything down except the RAM...so I think its the motherboard.

I have the same board, and I just installed the release version of Vista, and am experiencing the same issue. Cool n Quiet is enabled in BIOS, but doesn't work in the OS. I have tried the different power levels, but no change. BTW, the only driver that I needed was the SATA RAID driver, at the beginning of the install. I used the XP driver with no issues. As far as the Network driver, I am using what was included in Vista, but had to disable IPV6 and DHCP.

I just tried installing vista last night on my dual sata2 board... I have 4 drives: 1 80 gb PATA, 1 250 GB on the SATA2 port, a 250 gb on a SATA1 port, and a 74 GB raptor on another SATA1 port. Vista install only detected the PATA & SATA2 drives - I think that it's a problem w/ the raid drivers, since the sata1 ports can be raided. I'm going to dry again tonight w/ the XP raid drivers.
