Installed the L2.04 BIOS, pretty nice so far. I was on the 1.2 BIOS before and a usable mouse has been great! I'm trying the auto 4.4 OC. Seems like my temps go way higher faster with the auto oc method that's for sure. Idle voltage seems a little less though temps are about the same.

By the way, the official non-beta 2.10 BIOS has been out for over a week now. Been using it with no issues. Have my 2600K set to 4.6 GHz with a voltage offset of +0. 040 and LLC 3. I have C3/C6 disabled, but leave C1E enabled. If you disable all of those, then it will keep the CPU at 4.6 and not down clock it to 1.6. CPUZ Reports my max voltage as 1.368v under heavy load with Intel Burn Test, but most other programs (including Prime 95) have the voltage around 1.255v. The highest temps under IBT is 80C.

usable is a synonym for functioning.

Logitech MX518's and many other mice would have their axis' all screwed up with early versions of the BIOS.

I'm still on 2.04 and that's been quite stable. Any reason to upgrade. DId you notice a difference? I get a hardlock on a rare occasion but that could be anything. I will say going to 2.04 really cut down on display TDR errors, for me.

If you're on the beta L2.04, you really should go to the final 2.10 BIOS. Just to make sure any bugs that may have been in the 2.04 are not causing any system problems. I still have TDR video issues with my NVidia 560 ti and the latest video driver, so had to go back to the one from last summer that still works best. NVidia is sure taking their time!

New 2.30 bios is up, for extreme3 gen 3 anyways.

The mysterious "Power saving mode" makes a return, i remember it from the original EFI implementation but noone knew what it actually did. Now it directly shows you what it does, it simply sets the vcore to offset and -0.100v and lowers the VTT and CPUPLL voltages. Dont think it does anything else apart from this.

Been 2 years now, and I'm sad to see that ASRock has not posted any new updated official BIOS. Just a Beta one a couple years back.
