yeah not sure if they slow-boat these or whether they're valuable enough to put on a 747 freighter.....

From the other threads/forums I'm reading it seems like with shipping right now they'll be available mid-march.

Can anybody give me an idea of what some of these boards were selling for before they were pulled? Putting together the rest of my build and I'm not sure where corners may need to be cut since I don't know exactly what I'll be paying on the board.

Before they were pulled the Asus pro was $189 ($159 at microcenter as a combo deal). The asrock exterme 4 was around $158; the biostar was around $158 (less at microcenter; I want to say it was either $132 or $152). No clue on the MSI board. Gigabyte board was priced similar to asus (the low level board was $159; I think they had one a bit less; and the equiv of the pro was $189).

Bah, I'm getting anxious. I have nearly all of my other PC parts bought or at least will this week. I'm not dealing with this whole waiting thing very well...

Seriously! The only thing that's made it a little easier is the release of new SSDs in the meantime.

Oh, how convenient. Let's exploit Intel's error and make some profit off of consumers' SB impatience. Assholes.

Stahlhart, according to the article, the price increase is due to raw materials price increase. Motherboard manufacturers are not assholes.

Hehe, I hear ya. I had cpu and mobo in my newegg shopping cart on 1/31, but wanted to read up just a little more. Wish I pulled the trigger! Only going to have 1 ssd, so I wouldn't even have been affected by chipset issue anyway. Now, due to commodity market/world events/whatever, I'm going to pay more for the same thing two months later, ugh...

For what it's worth, for purpose of advance exchange, Asus Puts value of P8P67 Pro at $210 ..

I paid $179 at Superbizz, minus a $15 coupon ..

I hope they release the P67 Transformer so I can dump my H55 mobo and reuse my i5-760 cpu.

I almost wish I had, too -- I took a little too long to do the research on my build (mainly because I couldn't decide on which GPU(s) to go with), and then I'm just about ready to go and hello, Cougar Point fiasco. Now I'm stuck waiting.

I've got everything for the build but the motherboard and the GPUs (finally decided) -- I can go ahead and get them, but still no ETA on the mobo. and it appears the company has decided to put all of their resources into launching their 590 and is telling their motherboard customers to go pound sand... we'll ship them when we ship them, just shut up and wait. Oh, and by the way it's going to cost more now. Really difficult not to get frustrated.

So I'm going to work on case mods in the meantime -- very, very slowly.

Spotted and bought a P67 Pro3 motherboard today from SuperBiiz for $133 + shipping. Never heard of them before, but they're rated high on resellerratings, so I took a chance. They have the Extreme4 in stock too for $154.

SuperBiiz = EWiz

some complaints on here about EWiz (vs Newegg - with Newegg being better). But I'm sure you'll get the board just fine. Newegg apparently just distinguished itself in the SB recall vs places like EWiz, who are like "huh? recall? Umm there is static in the phone I can't hear you....... Pssssttttttt Goodbye............"

gone now ("sold out")

You'll probably be getting an email from their customer service saying they do not have it in stock, but expect shipment next week.

I ordered the Extreme4 2 days ago and got the email from cs yesterday. It still shows in stock on their site though. Shady if you ask me.

If it were me, I'd cancel the order. When I order something and it says IN STOCK it better be in stock. This isn't like second grade when we hold places in line for people to cut. You can't sit there and sell a bunch of mobos that you don't even have.

Notice how a reputable retailer does it (Newegg). When it goes out of stock, they don't take your order and money.

What really annoying of ewiz is they don't reply your emails of asking rma P67. Probably have to call them to get a response.

I would suggest not buying from ewiz. Their CS is nowhere near newegg.
