Asrock Z270 Taichi OR Asus Z270E Strix?

Can't find any reviews of the Taichi which has all the extras of the Strix PLUS More......You Tube Reviews of the Strix are GOOD to Better! It's written reviews on New Egg were surprising and not in a good way. The Asus just went on SALE at NEgg....but find myself leaning toward the Taichi which is not on sale.
Any Advice?

Don't blindly follow Newegg reviews. Some of them are really, really bad, and you can tell they have no idea what they are doing. That being said, that Asus board has a solid 4 out of 5 rating on both Newegg and Amazon, so that's about as it gets for motherboard ratings. The Asrock Taichi rating will drop as more reviews are written.

So my question is if you like the Asrock motherboard, which it sounds like you do, why not just order it? It is $195 after $10 rebate. The Asus is $190. What's $5 for something you could have for many years?

All I can say is I'm very happy with my Strix Z270G. The audio is great. It has been a long time since I had this good of sound. I can set different apps to different outputs so my wife can watch a movie while I listen to other things on headphones. I never could do that before. The fan controls are really good too.

Generally if your Windows was an OEM version, yes. Its activation is tied to your motherboard. However, you may be able to call in and get a new activation ID, but YMMV on that.

However, there may be an easier way that might work for you by doing this:

I just build a Gaming K7 system last week. I stuck the old SSD in and I had to re-activate. Somehow I couldn't do the troubleshooting on my own in activation where you select the old PC on a list of devices tied to your Live account, so I had to call.

I ended up actually finding my old Windows 7 Pro Key which the support agent was able to use to validate my Windows 10 Pro installation. I'm not sure what would've happened if I couldn't find that key (it was buried in an email back in the day when I used to email myself info), but from reading online it seems you just convince them somehow you have a legal copy of Windows.

Either 2 would have been good. Not sure about Gigabyte if you adventure yourself on overclock.
But still good build quality.

I would lean to Taichi if you overclock.
They proved to be the best AM4 overclocking board, my guess it shouldnt be any worst on the intel
