Wow, that really sucks, I would have thought that they would accept the return, exchange it for you, and deal with ASrock for you. I have to say, even though Newegg prices aren't the lowest anymore, I haven't found anyone's customer service that can touch it yet.
I hope they can resolve it for you fast.

Yeah, in retrospect I should have gone through newegg or tiger direct. If my memory serves me, at the time, the motherboard as not in stock at those locations. Part of the allure was how close they are and they had it on sale for something like $115.

Granted, that's completely void if I have to send this board back to ASRock and deal with a 15 day RMA. (Assuming they'll even touch it)

I was just thinking, I'm not familiar with SuperBiiz's return policies, but you could always try calling them and ask to speak to a supervisor, see if they are willing to help you out without having to go through the mfr directly.

Anyone has OC guide for this board? I can't seem to find it on the net. Thanks in advance.

Case: HAF 932

CPU: i2500K (212+ HSF) Idle seems to be at 40c stock speed; Push-pull 2000rpm. AS-5 one line in middle CPU.

Mobo: Asrock ex3 gen 3 bios 1.10 (still got mouse issue)
PSU: Corsair 850W
ram: G.skill 1600 9-9-9-24 16Gig
HD1: Crucial M4 128Gig
HD2: Seagate barracuda 2TB 5900 RPM

Any help and tweak suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I don't have a guide for OCing the board, but so far while just using the ASRock tuner software I'm quite stable at a simple OC to 4.0.

I assume the BIOS is the same as mine (z68 extreme4 gen3). Turn up the auto to 4.6ghz, disable spread spectrum and you're done. Leave everything else on auto.

Yea i dont like the idea of auto-overclock..now i can't even use keyboard and mouse in the bios...i can navigate but i can't input any digit except for -/+ to change value but it take a while. The only thing i can do is auto tuning using software in windows. which is at 4.5ghz prime stable 7 hrs and heat max is 66c.

Thinking about returning this board. But not sure what other board to get.

I just put mine together this weekend with an i2500k. Set the multiplier to 44 and the Vcore to fixed 1.35v and thats really it. Running great so far. I'm sure I could push more and run Prime all day while tweaking, but I'm happy with this.

So I went all Mcguyver and bent the pins carefully back into place... (Figured it was a $115 mobo...F-it.) I was simply tired of waiting for superbiiz.

Low and behold I was able to mend the beast. 5.0 @1.48v. Working on bringing the voltage down a touch.

Lucky you then, I have extremely bad experience with this board. Nothing just work for me even at auto turning it still crazy... when i play game @4.4ghz computer would freeze up and force to restart. I'm also on bios 1.10 and mouse still don't work and even keyboard, must be defective some how. I'm trying to play around with it a bit more before i return it and get me a Asus P8Z68 V pro.

I'm using the 1.0 bios and while the mouse does not work, I've had no problem at all using the keyboard. I've been navigating a bios for the last 17 years with a keyboard, so it's not a particularly strange thing.

I can use the keyboard too but just can't input any number on it.

+ and - keys are used for changing the numbers. It does not accept number keys.

That's strange, for things like the multiplier it accepts numbers keys for me. For things like voltage I hit enter and the up and down arrow keys.

I remember hearing something about certain USB ports right with the keyboard when in the BIOS. I use the top two 3.0 ports for what it's worth.

This board gave me too much hassles and i don't know when will bios update fix all this. Even their extreme4 and 7 have issue. And yes, some are lucky to get their board work like how they wanted to but in my case its no go. I probably going to stop by micro center to pick up Asus P8Z68 V Pro. Motherboard is just something we can't be cheap about along with psu.

I don't think those of us who are happy with this ASRock board are just "lucky". It seems MANY have had no problems at all. In fact, from your post above, you say it's all running well until you overclock to 4.4ghz. I don't thinkyour board is bugged (except maybe the mouse-BIOS issue which I have as well, but don't care since KB works fine (still on 1.0 bios)).

Is your RAM 2x8GB sticks or 4 4GB sticks? Are you overclocking the ram at all? Did you try setting a fixed VCORE at 1.35 or higher? Have you tried anything less than 44 multi?

In the end, you just might have a i2500k that doesn't hit 4.4 as easily as others. It's been known to happen. But I would hesitate to blame the mobo.

I have the Extreme3 Gen3 and it runs my 2500K @4.4 flawlessly using only the auto setting in the 1.10bios. I haven't even bothered to push it any higher. It smokes every game I throw at it (including BF3).

I sympathize with those having issues, but for me this board runs like a champ.

Yikes, stunt they pulled after posting a negative review of superbiiz on reseller ratings...

Still have mouse issues with my MX518 with the 1.1 BIOS, but otherwise been running pretty smooth for about a month now.

2500k @ 4.6GHz
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
Sapphire 6950 2GB
4x4GB GSkill Ripjaw 1333
Crucial M4 128GB / Samsung 2TB
Seasonic X650

Not much to complain about other than I wish the BIOS would drop the CPU fan voltage down further than it does at 'Level 1' when not under load. Hyper 212+ stock fan is kinda loud.

Not to derail the discussion too much , but I thought I should post my suspicious experiences with SuperBiiz.

Genny, I had two issues regarding motherboards looking used when ordering from SuperBiiz also. The first was an Asus P8Z68-V having bent front panel pins and having some glue residue on the back of the motherboard. A few weeks later I ordered another motherboard and it arrived with glue residue(again), and some of the accessories were scratched. I sent them some pictures and was told it was due to manufacturer cosmetic issues.

Thanks for sharing your story about your problem. I won't deal with that company again.
