I have done a fair amount of research before posting this: I am getting error code 55 (memory not found) but it is somewhat different from the other 'bent CPU pins' cases:
In nearly all the 'bent pins' cases I have found on the internet: both A1 & A2 will not be working. Only A2 is not working for me, (A1, B1, B2 are stilling working fine). If I put any (working) RAM into A2, I will get error code 55 (memory not found)
This problem occured after the whole system has been up & running for more than 1 hour: I checked everything in BIOS after the very first boot: all RAM were correctly recognized, CPU temp was stable. I successfully installed windows 8 and it crapped out when I was installing OS drivers: All of the sudden Windows reported an critial error and system started to shut down. Then the motherboard just won't post anymore (error code 55) if I leave anything in A2. (I swapped my memory around to make sure it is not a bad memory DIMM.)
Haven't done any sort of overclock at all (everything is set at default) The system seems to be running fine after I leave only 2 DIMMs in slot B1 & B2.
Can you guys give me some suggestions on what might have happened? Do I still need to take heatsink & CPU apart to check for bent pins? (Figure that I would get error at my vey first post if there are bent PINs? )
