exactly, i am really hoping that they do the earliest one ever next time - greek pre-300BC, or roman pre-400AD

Oh yeah.. our assassin is a ninja killing off rival dimiyous.

However slight problem with this is, unless the royal regalia, is a product of eden, i dont think there will be much of a story.


On another note... OMG.. this game... sometimes its easy... sometimes its just a PITFA.
Waiting for your targets to get alligned in the right possition, and waiting at the right time.... i swear i spend more time just camping a corner then actually doing anything because my targets decide they want to chill next to cops or not stand under the dayam barrels.

I wish they were go back into the distant past again. Victorian London has been done to death. As a setting, it's right up there with Noir New York and Contemporary Los Angels for popular culture.

I'm just not a fan of the relatively modern eras in general. I don't really like the guns and they've completely shifted focus away from the signature assassin blade and there's literally like 3 weapons in Syndicate, the Kukri, staff, and "brass knuckles".

I'd really like to see an ancient Rome/Egypt/Middle East setting in a future game that focuses again on the assassin blade and has a good range of hand weapons and armor upgrades.

Got it free with a SSD, think that gives me four of the games in the series even though I only actually ever paid for one and so far have played zero.

F@!*ing hell what have they done to this game? I just got it for the PS4 and combat is hilariously terrible. After playing games with combat like mad max how can companies still be having melee fights like the ones in AC?

At one point I pressed a button and I then tok my hands off the controller and watched my character perform at least four more moves. It's almost like combat is just a series of quick time events now. And heaven forbid you press the wrong button at the wrong time, like you try and shoot mid combat when you have no bullets. The damn character will stand there like an idiot and try and reload, locking you into that sequence.

But combat aside the entire game seems to be running on rails and I'm not talking about the trains, and even moreso than in the past. I have twice been stuck behind bodies lying on the street. My character will be making the running animation, but cannot move because the body is in the way (it's a foot high!) and I can't even "free run" over it, so I have to go around. That looks super stupid and is super stupid.

A bug I got within about an hour was when I first saw a woman in the street I was supposed to tackle because she was a thief. I got in front of her and she froze mid-lunge. I was able to then walk around this completely frozen statue of a woman and line up my tackle perfectly. I'm also having some one second long complete freezes on the PS4, but hopefully a reboot will resolve that.
At least I only paid $30 for this with Amazon's deal yesterday. I really think they need to shut this franchise down and think about things for a while.
