Assembly Resources...

Hello, right now I'm taking a class in assembly programming. Unfortunatley, there isn't a text book associated with my class, and it meets quite early so it is quite difficult for me to take notes. Does anyone know any good resources on the internet or perhaps a book I coould purchase that can help me with my assembly programming?

BTW, I'm using the NASM assembler on the x86 platform.

When I took Assembly a couple of years ago I had a pretty good textbook. I don't remember it right now but I can check when I get home and post more info on it. Texts will probably cost you close to $100 or more and it might be hard to find but I guess it depends on how much it's worth to you.

The name of the text was "Assembly Language for Intel Based Computers" Third Ed. by Kip Irvine.

I found it pretty useful in our course. I'm sure that they have another edition out now. Good luck.

Are you doing 32-bit assembly or only 16-bit? What OS are you using? MS-DOS or Windows?

I used the same one last semister. I found it useful as well. It covers MASM and TASM, most of it is 16 bit, but it does explain the 32 bit directives (up to i586 I believe). I don't think it covers mmx, or sse though.
