assimilating?

got a newbie question (since I'm only 15 days old in RC5)..

When you folks talk about assimilating, does that mean having people join the team under your name or just joining the team in general? I have a few friends that seem to be interested in giving this a go..

Assimilating simply means recruiting.

Or taking control of someone else computer with their full knowledge and putting your own ID while they helplessly accept that they can't do anything about it since you have TOTAL control. Now that's what I call assimulating!

Recuiting on the other hand is convincing someone to join your movement or asking them to volunteer their resources to achieve a common goal - beating the hell out of DPC and maintaing the number 1 position in this EARTH!

It's an anticoncatenating pun of assimilating. Means the same, sounds funnier.

Assimilating, or asslaminating as it is sometimes called, can be under your email, a mini team's email or you can set them up with their own. The advantage of your email or a mini team email is that you can have the config file all set up on a floppy, install it and they're crackin' for TA. If you use their email they have to go through the password stuff and then join TA.

An advantage to their own email or perhaps a mini team email is they may get hooked following the stats and start asslaminating others; probably less likely to happen if they are reporting under your email.
