Well... it took me much longer then it should have. I went to Rutgers New Brunswick for a year and a half, dropped out and went to my local community college. I'm graduating with my associates next semester. Does anyone have any school recommendations in NJ? If I go back to Rutgers I'll lose the 12 credits in online classes that I took, so that option doesn't seem too appealing. I really want to move and get back in the University scene. I feel that I'm mature enough to handle it now.

I'm an economics major, if that helps.

Thanks.

I'm not really worried about being accepted... My GPA is 3.2 and I have straight As this semester. I can get into any school in NJ, except Princeton. The closest school to my house is Richard Stockton College of NJ. That'd be fine, except I feel like I have to get out of this area. The economy around Atlantic City sucks. I make 11.50 at my job right now doing computer crap, and I've been looking for something better for a while and can't find anything.

You don't need to go to the best to become the best..... But that doesn't work in real life 90% of the time

Are you applying those credits to your Associate's Degree? Then they're "lost" already, or "used". I don't quite understand this part.

My daughter got an AS from Bergen Community College and went on to Montclair. Because she had the degree, and wasn't just transferring after 2 years of classes, she was able to avoid about 15 credits of things - prerequisites for her majors, math and education. It worked out really well. She didn't find that out until she met with her advisor after her first Montclair semester.

All of the NJ community colleges have some connections with the State Schools, making it as easy as possible to transfer. That office would be the best place to ask about the online class credits.

Good luck.

They're being applied to my degree. I'll give Rutgers a call tomorrow and see what's up with this. Maybe I'll go see an adviser about it.

Thanks.
