With Oracle; in order to run the client software in XP two file types need to have associations made, .rep files and .fmx files to oracle executables, No problem right? Well for people who are local administrators it works fine, but if you have them as a power user or anything else the association is broken, and XP want to have you reassociate the file. However, even going through the motions of re associating the file, it is all for naught, cuz it acts like it doesn't like it.
So to summarize:
-assocating the file type as a local admin==no problem
-having the user as a power user or anything less==problem
-re assocating the file type as a power user doesn't work
