Assualt rifles are actually not that deadly, they are more used for suppressive fire in combat, not actually killing people with direct fire.

Do yourself a favor and seek out local shooting ranges and start asking questions. Learn more about guns before buying one. They can be fun, but they can also bite you hard if you don't know what you're doing.
