What Borat would think or say about:

http://www.delfi.lt/news/daily/worl...o-sostines.d?id=61878943#dgslt-125135:4843437

Compare...to let's say New Jersey's capitol Trenton....Who's a 3rd World?

I don't know, let's compare anthems:

Option 1:

Kazakhstan is the greatest country in the world /
All other countries are run by little girls /
Kazakhstan is number-one exporter of potassium /
Other Central Asian countries have inferior potassium /
Kazakhstan is the greatest country in the world /
All other countries is the home of the gays

Option 2:

I'm From New Jersey (Written & Music by Red Mascara)

I know of a state that's a perfect playland with white sandy beaches by the sea;
With fun-filled mountains, lakes and parks, and folks with hospitality;
With historic towns where battles were fought, and presidents have made their home;
It's called New Jersey, and I toast and tout it wherever I may roam. 'Cause . . .

First Chorus
I'M FROM NEW JERSEY and I'm proud about it, I love the Garden State.
I'M FROM NEW JERSEY and I want to shout it, I think it's simply great.
All of the other states throughout the nation may mean a lot to some;
But I wouldn't want another, Jersey is like no other, I'm glad that's where I'm from.

Nothing surprising/new to me...I'm from former USSR and we did have such songs too...

Why, A Gintaras thread, of course.

You see, Gintaras is a small-dicked Russian. That is to say, of course, he suffers from a MASSIVE inferiority complex, and every topic, no matter how irrelevant or apolitical, has to be turned into a poorly spelled, grammatically butchered pissing match about the U.S.

In reality, all he does is prove his inferiority, and his obsession with the U.S. and its culture.

Thanks for the laughs, Gintaras. Keep up the pathetic butthurt.

Former Mount Holly guy for 25 years. Been gone a little over a year now, and still miss Jersey. Still watch WPVI and the Delaware Valley still feels like home.

I already knew that, but I prefer subtler and gentler ridicule. Generally, it is a lot funnier and a lot less bannable.

OK head just 5 miles outside of Astana and start taking pictures to compare to suburban New Jersey.

1) "I'm from former USSR"

So...a satellite shithole. Gotcha.

2) We know you by your posting history, which on a forum, is all that matters, genius. And it almost verbatim follows what I posted. The vast majority is your bullshit barely decipherable jabs at all things American. At least, that's the closest we can discern through the terrible spelling and grammar.

Let's try Google Translate:

Google Translate said:
Astana - the capital of Kazakhstan - one of the youngest capitals of the world. For more than fifteen years, the Kazakh authorities and the decision of the President of the Capital cozy foothill city of Almaty has moved to the middle of the steppe jutting farmers and virgin soil winners Celinograd Centre (later called the Akmola). It was a big challenge for the whole country.

At the same time, it was a big Kazakhstan campaign. The whole world saw it as just the sight, one might say, in the middle of the fields, growing a new modern city.

In addition to an impressive administrative buildings arose and residential neighborhoods and entertainment complexes - sports and concert halls, entire entertainment districts, shopping centers, forming squares flowing through Astana will take away the river infrastructure to recreation areas, bathing and sightseeing boats.

During the fifteen years of the former Celinograd / Akmola left the "Old Town" district, with chruščiovkėmis current town. The current Astana simply striking modern architectural forms. A wealth of high-rise buildings surround a central boulevard in the city, at one end rests against the elite Presidential forms with its surrounding gardens and parks.

Another boulevard end rests in a huge yurts form trade center, located on the upper floors of the townspeople liked the water park, next to the Houses of Parliament and the glass and gold symmetrical ministries towers, forming a kind of gate before entering the Presidential field.

Standing in the middle of the boulevard openwork hundred meters tower - like the center of Astana. Elevated to overlook the entire city.

Many buildings in the world famous architects to design - we can find the British and Japanese, and American Greyhound buildings and structures of complexes. Maybe it seems a little weird contrasting city limits - for the most recent multi-multi-city abruptly ends.

Below you can see only a step - up to the horizon. We accompanied the the guide told us that the city planted large areas of forest. When forests grow, of course, the scenery will change and there will be more green and cozy.

Um, yeah.

Pro-tip for the haters, Russian names don't end in -as. Balts do.

American education level is too low to realise this, unfortunately. :awe:

gintaras is probably lithuanian given the name and website he linked.
I don't see his point though. Sure, astana looks cool. But all poor countries have a big city centre with cool palaces.

Yes, sadly due to budget constraints the "Nuance of Culture from Failed Nations" course has been dropped from the K-12 curriculum nationwide.

I suppose it could be looked at as prudent considering this information provides almost zero value to anyone in the modern world..

Well I take that back. I suppose if one were to run a strip club and look to import some whores it might be marginally useful.. Maybe if there is enough interest we can re-instate it at a JC level.

Interestingly enough, it would probably be a very popular course in Trenton, NJ

Yeah, rich countries and poor countries both have shitty places. It's just the ratio of shitty to not-so-shitty places is different.

Some places in the USA really surprise me, though, like pictures of Detroit, Camden etc. that are (in)famous even over here in Europe. I don't understand how the world's supposedly most powerful country can have places like that. They're on par with some of the worst ghettos in ex-Soviet states that have had their economy in freefall for the last 30 years.
