Out of disk space and the feeder service isn't running. Plus the forums don't seem to be responding so I can't even post an outage message. :/

GLeeM - where's our list of DC projects that TA has members on?

I use the following stats page when I want to look for a new project to crunch:
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=projmain
Look for an active project that you might be interested in and click on the name. From that page open in new tab the name link above the short explanation, that is the home page. Now go down in the first page to Top Teams section and click the Overall link for a listing of all teams and search for TeAm Anandtech to see if we are present. If not start a thread and ask for the TeAm to be created by TAC.

If you don't have a secondary project you will have problems with all projects!
What I do is crunch a project to a certain Milestone and move on if I don't like it. I move on eventually and come back also.

Make sure to check out this you might like it: http://pogs.theskynet.org/pogs/

Have fun picking

Damn, Asteroids are really struggling lately .

I like skynet's pogs, I certainly want to get back to that 1 soon, & MW, & R@H, & LHC, & E@H & A@H & ... well you get the picture , I can't decide which I want to get back to! (well LHC is a back burner project).

[edit]
NWM
I see you already have an account for pogs with 212 points, incase you've forgotten

GleeM
Is their a way to see how much processing power each project has volunteered?

Or you can do what I do and try to participate (and get milestones) in every possible BOINC project. Granted, I'll never be at the top of the stats in any single project, but I think it's funny to see something like this:

? ... He joined today ...?

That's correct. I just joined the POGS project the other day and had only gotten one rig onto it before I had to leave for a family issue. I'll be adding the POGS project to the other machines today.

Damn, Asteroids are really struggling lately .

Indeed. It was barely a week after the last outage that it went down again, and for same darn reasons - out of disk space. I'm sorry, but as an IT Admin myself, working for a public library, even we have the resources to address issues like this, and many of us(myself included) would(and have) use our own equipment temporarily if it meant keeping access up to the public.

I get the distinct impression that the web server & forums are running on the same volume as the project server which explains why outages often cannot be reported by the users, so they just sit in limbo waiting for the admin to happen to notice a problem. I think there might actually be one other admin besides Kyong, but he apparently has rather limited access or abilities to actually fix issues.

Yea roger that, I hope they fix it before I get back into it, mind you I'll probably do R@H or pogs for a while 1st.

Welcome to skynet btw , John Connor will be warning us off of it soon .

@ Assim - thank you, and yes, John Connor will probably be warning us soon!

It would appear to me that POGS doesn't make use of the GPUs in my rigs, so now I'm looking for another project I can add that would run concurrently and use the GPU resources while the CPUs are doing the POGS tasks.

so now I'm looking for another project
I think the only GPU that was doing work for you in Asteroids was the GTX560.

The GTX560 would do well in GPUGrid.

Other GPU projects to consider: POEM, PrimeGrid, Seti, Einstein, Milkyway, Collatz, MOO, Albert

Some might run on the Radeons and Intels. Watch for if certain drivers or abilities are needed, like double precision, etc.

Hey NWM, I thought you'd already done some MW? Are you under a different name there? (grand rapids observ.?) or am I getting mixed up?

They are back up again ... but with WUs that finish in one third to one half of the time but for the same 480 points!
50 minutes on 4770K@4.1
36 minutes on 4790K@4.5

There are a half million+ WUs probably all like this ... get them while the getting is good
