I recently bought a MSI 2600XT similar to this (but with passive cooling) for $44 AR and I've been watching the prices fall. I want to get one more and this card seems to be an excellent deal on a good card for light-medium gaming and HD video acceleration. I just bought this in combination with the eVGA 8800GS for $64.99 AR.

I think you need a special one for these cards so the sound can also be outputed thru it.

I think you need a special one for these cards so the sound can also be outputed thru it.

Wonder if the one that came with my Sapphire 4870 would work. This card is tempting for a stirctly HTPC role

Yes it will, the ATI adapters will work on any compatible HD card.
