asus 50x or aopen 52x

does anyone have any experience with either of these cdroms, if so which do you recommend?

asus because that's what i know. does DAE very nicely

I haven an Aopen and hate the thing. Takes forever to spin up and just seems to not want to read the cd sometimes. I'd say definately go w/ the Asus (although the Aopen's eject/tray mechanism is the nicest I've seen yet.

but asus 50X are loud. well all 50X are loud, but the asus is slight more than the rest. but it's one fo the fastest 50X around.

I would sacrifice some speed and get a asus 40X. It'll a whole lot quiter and you'll barely notice the difference in speed.
