Asus 980 ti strix fans

Guys I bought a strix 980ti and after installing, when the fan gets spinning some times I can hear something from the fans them that is louder then the other 6 case fans. I had the same noise with my last 770 but after pushing the rotor of the fan up, it stopped the grind noise.
Is this normal had it someone else, maybe is a 0db fan issue.
Have 14 days to return it, if it is a problem.
I will later today try to capture it with a video.

I have Asus Strix 980 Ti , no special noises. Card is quiet for me.

You haven't any strange sounds when the card uses the fans. Cry I guess I have to return it.
And asic was ok 73.6%

But the pcie connector had a issue too. Do you remember if you something similar, please, see photo.

Card is going back for a 800 euro card this is to much if it is new.

The PCB looks unfinished.

Dunno if it is unfinished or scratched. It was so out of the box. I have contacted the sailer and they will exchange it since my system still crashes when playing games after 30-60 min, tweak logs showing normal temperatures, 1404 clock(gaming mode on tweak) 7200 ram 40% RPM and 63C at the moment of the crashes.

So now I am hoping that I can get again a 73% asic card. But I know I will get a 67%, my luck of my life.

That PCB looks fine to me? What specifically looks wrong to you?

Have you checked the GPU's temps when the fan ramps up? Perhaps it's getting too hot?

Edit: This combined with your DirectX errors makes me wonder if it's software? Have you done a clean driver install/made sure that you don't have any overclocking utilities open? Have you OCed the card?

Card isn't getting hot 63C with stock OC (1404) gaming profile on tweak.
Pcb looks fine to you? Have you zoomed on the picture you can see a white area where it should be yellow. I don't know if there is something in that area, I guess not, but still for 800 bucks I don't risk it.
Dx issue got solved it was bf4 or tweak, I removed and reinstalled tweak and deleted dx folder from bf4 and repaired game via origin. Now pc crashes every 30-60min, tweak logs looking fine for the card, at the crashing time, same goes to logs from corsair link for the rest of the system.

I have send it back. To much trouble and I would not feel ok, if I had kept the card.

Do what you have to, but that section of the PCB looks find because there is nothing there other than the contacts at the surface. A scratch there would have no effect.

Ok it may have no impact on the card. But still it is a new card and it is not in a 100% condition, can you tell me how did that happen, did it fell down, did it hang on something? Somehow it got that scratch, and after a year I will need to sell it , what will you tell how it happened? To much stress for me where I should even think about it. That's why we have the 14 days return without reason policy, for Internet buys in the EU, if you don't like it or it isn't what it should be, return refund reorder. Simple.

Like I said, do what you have to. But I (personally) would not stress about a scratch on the PCB - either as the seller or the buyer.

ASIC doesn't mean anything.

My 980 Strix has no discernible "strange" sounds. Its the quietest card I've ever had.

It's an indicator of how much voltage you might need to OC. It seems to be a reasonably good indicator, but it isn't some amazing divining rod.

Care about the voltage. How cool will stay a card when she achieves the same clock speed.

As i was saying got a good one 59% asic, i have to check didnt have time the card throttles back to base clock speeds on games every few seconds then up and down. Stock oc speed 1327 she cant go higher where last was at 1404 and this one goes 76C while playing and not even the oc profile just gaming. I will try to swap that too if it throttles on all games. Gl me nice week this and we got still few days left.
