Hi all,
I've been doing some mild overclocking of my XP2400+ cpu ( unlocked using a wire in the socket ) on a plain vanilla Asus A7N8X motherboard, but the temperatures Asus PC Probe are displaying are a bit too optimistic i think. When i hit reset onder full load and hurry to the bios to check the temps there, i see temperatures that are easily 10°C or 20F higher. In fact, the temperature doesn't even rise when i go from idle to full load. So i'm quite sure PC Probe is wrong.
What can i do? I would hate frying my cpu.
