I just installed Windows 98 SE Full

I have 1.2GHZ Tbird at 200 FSB
pc 133 256mb Sdram
Asus A7V133 Motherboard bios 1002a-1
IBM Deskstar 60Gig ATA 100 HD
Creative 52x CDROM
Plextor CDRW

I also disabled the jumped for the onboard sound
I fixed the driver for the Mass storage device

1) When I move files from my CD-ROM to Hard Drive (Win 98 cabs) I get an error which states that Explorer has caused an error and explorer shuts down and I have to reboot. This happens everytime.

2) I install my SB Live PCI card in slot 3 next to my NIC card in slot 4. When I reboot I get two new Plug and play devices found. 1 of course is the SB Live, and then another one pops up as "PCI INPUT DEVICE" Any idea what this is?

3) I also just want to confirm that my ATA 100 Drive will not be listed in the bios or during bootup until it detects the promise software, where you will then see it listed as d0

2) it's probably found the joystick input on the sblive, point it to your sblive drivers and i can guarantee it will find a driver for it somewhere

3) I have the same motherboard, and a similar HD but 45Gig version.
Did you plug the HD to the ATA100 promise slot or the Primary IDE UDMA100 slot?
I put mine in the Primary IDE slot, which saves me trouble of installing the promise drivers, and any problems that you may be having with the promise slot.

and with those configs everything seems to be running fine with my system.
(PrimaryIDE and ATA100 both run at 100Mbps, so it doesnt really matter where u plug it)
