ASUS A7V266-E\Raid setup problem

I am trying to setup my raid controler in Win XP.
I have setup the Raid Array and XP loads to the point
it needs the fastrack drivers to load.I have copied
them to a disk(I think they are the right one's.
Then I get this error
File \WinXP\Fastrak.sys caused an unexpected error(18)at line 2108 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

Any thoughts or ideas will be very helpfull.

I had the same problem what you need to do is go into the driver folder on the mobo cd and find the setup folder there you will see the executable disk maker to make the floppy wich will coppy the files you need to the floppy disk(i think it does some sort of weird format to the disk wich will then be read when you install them rather than just formatting a floppy and copying the files to the disk)
this worked for me
any way i have a question for you since we have the same mobo.
i did a fresh install of xp after i configured the raid got win xp pro installed then started installing updates mabe you will notcie this also, when you restart the system the system will hang at the windows is shutting down screen it only does it on restarts and not shutdown
i think its the promise lite controller driver for xp but im not sure if your installing xp can you let me know how you make out on restarts ??? thanx

louie, can you reply to the thread if frag's suggestion works. I've got the same mobo, but haven't received all my parts yet. I'll be installing XP and I'm sure I'll be running into the same problems as you guys. I'll subscribe to this thread and offer any information I've heard about.

Worked like a charm.I am using XP Pro and so far no lockups or hangs on start or shutdown.
I let XP install the Lite controler in set up and so far so good.Did I overlook the directions on how
to install the setup driver?I looked after it worked and still found nothing.Anyways this is working
great.So far so good.

I believe you can set your processor settings to 10x133Mhz in BIOS without increasing the CPU voltage and have perfect stability, at least that works with my A7V133 for almost 6 months!
