Soo lets begin..

first, sory on my bad english...
my bios looks like this
ht 3x
ram 166, v 2.8
fsb 300
cpu v 1.55
pci lock 33.33
pciex lock 100
post pass, buth it wont boot...it stops on screen before win boots, that pci screen, where you can see assing irq's to pci devices...

for test i leave everything ready to oc except fsb on 200, and in windows i set fsb to 300 by clockgen and it works,
before that asus mbo i had gigabyte k8ns and same processor and memory, it works few months on 2.7ghz and mem on 490, 2.5-3-3-7/1T

i flash new bios for thet mobo,
i dont get it...bios wont boot at 220fsb, but in win oc it works nice on 300 all day...

have i missed something, what do i do wrong...
i dont wana everytime when it enters win oc from there, i want it done from bios...

hope i was clear on this thread

again, in win i can overclock @ 300fsb, buth from bios it wont boot after 220fsb...

help please

This has been proposed as a solution for some overclocking problems with the A8N-E: enter the BIOS, load setup defaults, save and exit, enter the BIOS again, and now put in whatever settings you want. Evidently, after flashing a new BIOS, the HT multiplier gets stuck at 5x regardless of what is set in the BIOS, and this procedure is required to fix that.

This Sounds Crazy!
The stuck OC problem with this mobo is the Floppy, always put a floppy in the BIOS, even if you don´t have one. (you can always disable it in windows)

Also, never use the BIOS update utility in Windows. Always use the utility in BIOS or floppy o update. Changes in the BIOS never tend to stick if you update through Windows.

Or use WinFlash if you have no floppy. I've flashed with that a bunch of times on various motherboards (ASUS, DFI, MSI) and have never had a problem.
