Did you ask the person at NCIX if your order will be shipped soon, b/c on the forums for the item on the site an NCIX admin said that the in stock items would go to people on pre-order. I checked the status of my order and "availability" has not been confirmed. Are you confident that your order qualified for an in stock board?

No, I assumed "In stock" meant that they hadn't been sold or allocated. I'll probably call back tomorrow to find out the status of the order. If I didn't get one that was in stock, I'll cancel my order.

I got ahold of someone at NCIX and they said they only had 5 boards, so they're not even going to have enough for all the pre-orders. So...the waiting continues...

Yeah, I just talked to NCIX again. It seems that the person that I talked to originally didn't know what they were talking about. I cancelled my order. Bummer.

Hi all, long time reader, first time poster. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck ordering from unitedmicro.com yet? I ordered last week when the ETA was 12/18/04. The site now says 12/28/04 but my order status still says 12/18/04. Think that means I am in luck to get this board by christmas? I keep missing customer service as I work odd hours so I was hoping someone else out there might be in the same boat as me with some info. Adios!

Well spoke NCIX, they are sold out, so cancelled my order. I was in line at ATACOM, but spoke to their rep before they closed today and they said they were scheduled to receive several shipments this week and they have all been delayed until next week, she also said they had over 100+ backorders to fill. I think at this point I am going for the Abit AV8 and grab an AGP 6800GT ULTRA and just realize I will have to upgrade in about a year...

I've actually heard from the 3 places that I've called that the original date (this week) was only pushed back one week (to around the 20th or 21st). Of course, that's the date for the resellers to get them, not the end consumer. That still means many people could have them in hand before January, though.

Ordered one from Computer 3G on the 15th, which shipped today via DHL.^

I called C 3G the day of the order and was told limited stock would be here on the 17th (today). They got some stock because I received the shipping notification from DHL for C 3G.
