well, I cant help it since I handle purchasing for the small pc/service shop I work at. We cant compete without taking advantage of crazy deals like this.
although we still dont know if this will be honored or if they wont kill my order due to high quantity... so if you are worried about them going OOS why dont you guys just order allready before it IS gone...
and you will probably have a much greater chance of doing instore pickup if you are close by an MC.

either mc will cancel your order for ordering that many, in which case you wasted your time, or if by some miracle they do honor it, then that will be 9 less people getting in on this deal, and you are just as bad as the people who ordered 10 dell 160gb raptors for under $160 a pop or those who bought a couple dell 20.1" lcd @ $160 just to resale on ebay. You are buying these to resell for profit...

newegg doesnt list x2 support is specs either- but reviewer#2 is running a 4200x2 on it so apparently it does do x2...

should be retail. It shows all the included cables, and usually refurb come oem(mobo only). Also, I believe if it was used/refurb, then the retailer legally has to represent the item as used/refurb.

It may actually be a good thing for these boards to ship from Mircocenter in 7-21 days. Perhaps the "new" supply will have "old" issues resolved (chipset fan replaced) and new a BIOS.

The newer bios has fixed a lot of the problems with the board, good to have around for a spare @ $40.

thats a 3yr warranty board, the other is only 1yr- which means the cheap one is probably open box stock or recerts from asus
(or new stock that is so old asus will only still cover it for another year)

I chose in-store pick up first and now they tell me the order was cancelled because the store didn't have any and they do not back order it. If the board doesn't work I'll get it to work. I'm going to try to get shipping then even though their store is only a few miles away.

I have the A8N-E identical to this board less the SLI.
The board was never able to run the crossair 2GB kit (CMX1024-4000) on 1T command. I researched the net and there is what so called the 2T bug. My AMD 64 XP 3200+ is overclocked at 2380 Mhz and the RAM is at 238 Mhz. BIOS is at 1013 (latest)

Any solution?

There is a Micro Center not too far from me (about a 20-25 min drive), but they don't have stock.

Ohh well... I would have taken one for sure if they had it...
