Got mine too and it's brand new revision 1.02 Up for sale on the For Sale Forums already for @$85 shipped. Although if no one bites VERY soon, I may change my mind and keep the board for an upgrade. I really like the black PCB and the shinny ASUS NB HSF.

this is the first sli motherboard that came out, right? i reckon they're just clearing stock out. i'm still waiting but wouldn't be surprised if they'd need bios updates.

If you got that email, you should know it was 129.99 back in May as quoted here.

For comparison, MC is selling AIW800XL PCI-E for 119.99 + shipping
currently.

$129.99 was a good deal for the x800aiw pcie back then (3 months ago). The regular price was over $200.

Yeah mine booted right up with the 64 x2 3800 i picked up. my bios turned out to be V10.16

The latest version out is 10.17(released in feb i think) and from the asus site versions 10.13 and after should work for x2

i just got mine. i've read a few spec pages but seeing it in front of me and reading from the box... man, what a loaded board. the chipset fan is my only gripe -- big ones with heat pipes like in the newer ones would've been nice.

does this thing take ECC ram. the box info is contradicting. the side says ECC/non-ECC un-buffered, but the back says "features 2000/1600 MT/s HyperTransport Bus and dual channel un-buffered DDR400" (right under CPU support -- s939 64/64FX.

that means what ? it does takes ECC, but if i use s939 64/64FX, those cpu's only support non-ECC? thanks

got mine in..
and I personally dont like the heat pipes. good idea but with no active cooling the NB gets hotter than the cpu. I don't like that. I am referring to personal experience with an a8n32-sli

were you oc'ing? i don't so didn't anticipate heat would be a problem... or was it even at stock speeds?

i'd be happier if i replace it, but there aren't many replacement options given the location. a bigger chipset cooler will get in the way of an sli setup. but then again, i may never get around to sli. it's just that for $37, couldn't they have put more effort into perfecting it*

nope- no OCing at all. Running a 7900gt and a x2-4400 stock on that a8n32-sli. If I remember correctly the idle system temp was 49c and the cpu temp was like 44c. I am sure the 7900gt's heat may have attributed to the heat around the motherboard though, but thats all the more reason for more active airflow...
Now as far as this A8N-SLI DELUXE- I need to look and see if my board has the newer fan. the newer fans are great. the older ones are REALLY bad.

Mine came 12 hours ago. Now what do I do? :X This is my 3rd 939 board but I don't have a CPU or DDR400 for it. I'll keep my DFI since it's probably a better overclocker. I can't believe they let them go for $46! $40 if it would have allowed local pick up. I hope they make a price mistake on X2's next.

Hmmm...

I may sell mine before I ever use it.

This board does SLI in 8x, 8x, and doesn't that mean that it will perform worse than 16x, 16x depending on the vid cards?

How do you tell which fan it is?

The "old" fan is mounted squarely in relation to the board's edges.

The "new" fan mounts at a 45 degree angle.
