WINCHESTER AT 1.6V!!!

[Edit] Ok, so my caps weren't as warranted as I thought.

Initially I set the voltage in bios to 1.5875 and CPU-Z was flicking between 1.586 and 1.600, the first time i've seen it ever say 1.6V. However when I tried 1.600V in the BIOS, CPU-Z now reads 1.56 -> 1.58, gone down...

Oh, and if anyone needed telling...

1T ISN'T FIXED!

Strange...my core voltage has always been 1.6 under load, even with the old bios setting up to 1.55 only...
I love Enermax

Having problems with this set, going back to 1006. DvD drive runs at full speed constantly after startup. It stops after you cycle the tray, so no big deal. The Nvidia Lan is buggy all of a sudden too. It is off the website, so maybe it wasn't really the finished version? WHatever the case, back to 1006 for me.

No HTT multiplier means no OC and that means I am stuck with a 1.8 ghz cpu. Each bios seems buggier than the previous. My first Asus board, and I am NOT impressed.

I just toasted my mobo by flashing. I did not go to the ftp site but instead I went to the official Asus' site and not knowing I used the flash utility version 1.08. Asus' site does not state anything about using flash utility version 1.09 or newer and yet they have posted the new Bios 1007 to the public but without warning. I'm so pied of at Asus for this. This is going to cost me time and money!

Look for yourselves...

Wanna bet? Anybody dare to flash with version 1.08 found on the Asus web site? (under DOS of course)

Actually version 1.11 is required. I thought I saw something about v1.09 before. It don't matter, the damage is done.

I have had no real problems with my Asus rig, I was running fine on the 1004 bios and the 1007-004 beta bios was good, now I am running on the final 1007 version and no problems. I had outdated Nivida drivers and once I updated them all was good.

Well sorry, but that was explicitly stated in the readme...

Let me rephrase myself. What if you don't read the forums, where do you go then?

Let me show you... http://www.asus.com and then you end up right here...

Show me where it says anything about what AWDFLASH version to use?

This bios sux for over clocking:disgust: I really wanted to make it work because I want to get one of the new San Diego chips, so I worked with it for a couple of hours and its terrible for me. I can't get HTT higher than 235 with this bios regardless of what I do, even with mem divider and droping the CPU multi. The best OC I can get it 2350mhz

With 1004 I can get 2642mhz, and I can run HTT as high as 325mhz.. I guess I will have to wait for a better bios that supports the San Diego:disgust:. I would be really PO'd if I upgraded to the 3700+ and the best I could get was 235x11=2570mhz

I flashed to this one yesterday, my OC still works fine, no problems whatsoever. I did bump my Vcore up a couple notches up over 1.55 to see if it would help my S3 standby problem (not sure if that got fixed yet though), and it's running at 1.584 V now.
