ASUS A8N32-Deluxe Setup

I Finially got my hands on an ASUS A8N32 Deluxe and I have heard of alll of the problems and glitches and I want to know of my future system will have any problems. I have heard about Egva graphics cards and Antec power supplies not being compatible with this MoBo. Please post if anyone has any information.

Thermaltake TR2 W0070 ATX 430W - Thinking about replacing with Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W
Antec Performance I P180

definately do not get a thermaltake power supply and stick with the quality brands.

I just did my new build yesterday with this mobo. I am using the EVGA 7800GTX card, with the Corsair 3500LL Pro memory, and a PC power and cooling Turbo 510 PSU.

On the expensive side, yes, but all of these components were recommend by many people and the vendors themselves to work together.

I have been up and running for two days without a hitch. came up right away, and I am play FEAR with ALMOST full settings(full everything will have to wait for a 2nd EVGA!!!)

Oh, and BTW, I did not flash the BIOS. Mine is from October and is whatever shipped with the board. i went to the ASUS site thinking I would want the latest. They have a big notice on their board, "ONLY FLASH A NEW BIOS IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS".

I'm not so I left it as is....

I would agree with others, stay away from ANY ThermalTake PSU. I paid $219 for PSU, I know a lot of money, but the voltages are absolutely rock steady, and the way they build these PSU's over at PCP&C, it's really like the equivalent of a 700 or 800 power rating of the cheaper brands, in my opinion.

Plus, I feel the PSU is the most important hardware component to ensure a stable mobo, again, in my opinion.

thanx for the help, i was wondering about having to flash the bios. im glad it is only necesary if problems occur. I'm pretty new to building pc's and i wasn't too sure how to flash the bios.

NOW, let me add one more thing. I'm not doing anything fancy. Since this is my first ever build, I started off simple. No RAID, and no over-clocking of any kind. All BIOS settings are straight from the factory until I get a good baseline of solid activity from this rig.

I have heard of real issues with RAID-all sort of problems with it.
