ASUS A8V OWNERS HELP!

Hi all.

I own an A8V and ever since I'v had it I have had nothing but hassles.
Here is a basic layout of my specifications to get started.

ATI Radeon 9800 PRO AGP
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value
AMD 3500+
1024 Corsair Memory Kit of 4
2x Western Digital 250G HD's
1x Western Digital Raptor 36G
LG DVDRW
Plextor CDR
OCZ Modstream 450 Powersupply
Antec P160

This is my system basically what my issue is my post takes FOREVER.
when i go into my bios it is very slow and sluggish. It is rediculasly slow.
The system once has completed its post is fine in windows XP PRO.

I have tried a few things like checking my Voltage rails in the bios make sure my power supply is giving it enough power. I have all the connections properly seated. Memory timings are standard. No over clocking in the bios enabled. Defaults enabled in bios.

I can' t seem to find anything to lead toward this. If I need to reset my bios or flash my bios which I did to the latest recently. It is very frustrating.

If anyone has any insight or experience with this particular problem may it be my motherboard or an issue with incompatibility with my other hardware please help.

Man, that's really weird.. I think Asus boards just suck that's all.

Could be a hd going bad. A bum drive can really slow a boot, never heard of a sluggish bios though.

Got a floppy installed? Make a boot floppy, unplug ALL your drives and boot from floppy. Guess you could use the cd too. Is the boot any faster?

I hope it isn't my Hard drive I have 3 four month old western digitals.

If your not using the Promise hard drive controller (2 bottom SATA I think, and 1 red raid IDE) you can disable it in the bios. This will shave 5 seconds of your boot.

EDIT, is this the ASUS A8V or the A8V Deluxe?
