Ok, I really need some help with this one. I am building a PC for my elderly neighbours and they described what they wanted so I decided to go with a Kabini setup.
AM1L-A board Mini ITX size
Sempron 3850
1 stick of Corsair 1600 Value Select
Mini ITX case with a decent PSU.
Basically they had a laptop with Win XP,loved it, it died, got a new one with Win 8, took it back for a refund. Although they could get used to it...they don't want it, they want 7.
I can't install 7 64 bit from original disks, Digital River iso files, USB stick, network...you name it. It just BSOD with (no joke) at least 10 different error codes ranging from usb to memory errors to files system errors.
Linux Mint 64 bit wont install either.
I've done every settings combination in the BIOS, UEFI on, off, legacy on off, safe boot, win 8, whatever...whatever combo of settings it blue screens at the part of Win 7 just after it asks you to set up partitions at 0% or 1% of copying files...it won't let anything be installed at this stage like drivers it seems to run for a while then BSOD even if you leave it on the partition bit, it will wait then BSOD.
I've tried swapping the Corsair ram for Team and Kingston, tried updating BIOS, tried another disk (got a Kingston SSD), but same issue.
I've used my money for the bits with the thought of them just paying me for what i've spent...but my day off has been wasted messing with this mess. I thought it would take an hour tops !
Does anyone have any insight on this board ? Thanks in advance.
