Asus AVA266 for my 1.4 Athlon?

I just purchased a 1.4 Athlon and was wondering what the best ddr motherboard to get. My friends recommended the Asus, but I want a second opinion. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you...

A7A? Forget it, it performs very poorly. I'd go with for non-ocing Asus A7M266, for ocing, Abit KG7-RAID.

It might be kind of a new mobo...

I'm not really sure, my friend said it's a really reliable and stable board. If I could save money and get a cheaper one, I'd rather do that though....

I know there's an ASUS A7A266, A7M266 and A7V266. Don't get the A7A266

You may want to consider the A7M266 for its stable AMD 761 chipset. Then again, ASUS boards are not too good for overclocking but if you want a stable m/b, this one is for you.

How does the Epox EP-8KHA compare to the Asus one?
