asus board for athalon mp?

does anyone know when asus is planning on debuting a board for the Athalon MP. Or anyone other than Tyan?

Do you mean a dual T-bird mobo? That i don't know

What i do know is that the Asus A7V266 has full official Palomino support. So that would be fine.
They're available in the UK now, not sure about the US though

yeah, but i mean a board that actually supports both palamino chips, not just one. the only manufacturer i know of is Tyan.

Well, Asus is currently developing A7M266-D, for Dual AMD Athlon(MP) processsors. I think we're looking at October at the earliest. MSI is also making the K7D Master.

im planning on putting together a computer, and if their boards are coming out in October, then by the time i get my system together, they will be cheaper

The ASUS A7M266-D looks good: dual Athlon, 4 DDR DIMMs, AGP Pro, 2 64-bit PCI, 3 32-bit PCI, and optional combined LAN/SCSI card like that found on the CUSL2-LS.

Release is supposedly some time in August/September.

No idea about price, but don't expect it to be cheap with the 64-bit PCI slots in place.
