Asus Cubx and win2000

Anyone out there using this set-up,it's got the cmd chip for udma66
and I'm only getting 7 meg a second,and in window's me I'm getting almost 16 meg's a second,and I do have the udma enabled in the registery,would a promise controler card work better,thank you for any help.

Try Asus.com for any BIOS or driver updates, under the motherboards section.

I think I got my updated CUBX CMD drivers from the Asus site.

The drivers that came with on the mobo CD did not work properly under Windows 2000 but were fine with 98 and under DOS (makes a big difference to how fast Ghost can operate!).

At the moment the CMD driver (2.06) for Win2k is pretty unstable.
It causes mouse and sound stuttering.
This has been a problem since CUBX was released.

With SP1 and the ATA100 hotfix the problem is a bit less evident but still annoying.

CMD narrowed this problem down to the atapi.sys driver provided by Microsoft.
They are working on a workaround and at the moment are testing a beta driver that completely solves all the issues. Expect them to release it very soon.

What prog are u using to benchmark the disk, and what model is it?
My IBM 75GXP returns identical scores both in Winme and Win2k using hdtach.
