We had purchased 4x Asus EN7800GTX 256mb video cards a few months ago for a project here at the university. They BARELY fit in the Shuttle SN25P SFF - but it did work. So we ordered two more - identical product number etc.. from Techdepot and the 7800s that arrived have what looks to be the nvSilencer 5 installed - from the factory. I was quite perturbed because the nvSilencer doesn't even come close to fitting in the SN25P - not even with the CPU shroud removed - it comes into contact with the drive cage.
Anyhow... I called up Asus to see what is up - ASUS's website shows the old-style heatsink design (as does Techdepot). The guy that I spoked to said that they had changed the heatsink design becuase of problems that people were having with the cards overheating with the old design. I told him I had 4 cards already and he said that they would send me the new heatsink if I was having problems with overheating - user replaceable. The problem is that I am space limited in teh SN25Ps as of now, so it wouldn't make sense for me to do it. But I figured the Anandtech community would want to know!

That being said - if anybody has an old-style heatsink that they would like to get rid of - please let me know!
