Asus, Gigabyte, Abit, Epox or MSI

I am going to build an Athlon XP system. I was just wondering which manufacturer for the motherboard i should use. I've previously built Pentium 3 systems using Gigabyte, but I've seen some nasty reviews of the model using the KT333 chipset. I just want your opinions on a reliable motherboard manufacturer I can use to build my system. I am looking for something with a KT333 or KT400 chipset and I especially want reliability.

I own the GA-7VRXP and build a system for a friend on GA-7VAXP. Both run very stable and fast, much better than the previously used Asus A7V333.
I like Gigabyte very much. Stay with Gigabyte!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe it has support for the newer 166mhz FSB Athlons, as well as Barton!

I am a fan of the ABIT series motherboards, and have had tremendous performance from their product line.

Try this link for the KT333 Series Motherboards
The KT400 Series have so far been underachievers,
not performing as well as the KT333, as they do not have the depth of RAM capability,
although there are support issues with the Memory, the other features are attractive.

Perhaps the release of the 333FSB on the AMD XP2800+ used with an Abit AT7-Max2 will bring the performance of the KT400 chipset
up to the performance level that was expected for it to provide.

Until there has been some run time on the XP2800+'s, the jury is still out, no verdict, O.J. did it.

I have the Gigabyte GA7VRX. It is nice and stable, just make sure you get the "Revision 2.0" release.

My friend has a gigabyte GA-7VRXP, my sister has a gigabyte 7DX and i have a Gigabyte P4 Titian GA-8IGX. All fast and stable. So i say go gigabyte.
