Asus GTX 970 Strix DOA?

Hi,

I just received an Asus GTX 970 Strix to replace my old Gigabyte 460.

After installing it I don't get anything on the screen though. The power led on the graphics is shining, but the VGA led on the motherboard is shining red, which indicate the graphics card is dead?

I have tried reseating the card with no luck. If I switch back to my gtx 460 it works again.

My computer consists of the following:

- Intel i7-3930k with an h100i cooler.
- Asus p9x79 deluxe motherboard.
- 16 GB corsair vengeance memory.
- Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB ssd.
- Seasonic 860 Platinum psu.
- Antec P280 case.

Do you think the graphics card is faulty?

Check for a motherboard BIOS update.

Thanks a lot I updated to the newest non-beta bios and now it works perfectly
